What’s your business, and who are your customers?
Resto Experience is an agency created by restaurant owners to provide a comprehensive solution based on technology and self-management to encourage restaurant consumption. We currently manage 17 restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia, that have yielded successful results. Now, we provide services in the digital area and marketing worldwide.
Resto Experience clients start by being ourselves, and after great results in our restaurants, we are in partnership with more than ten restaurant owners putting into operation everything done in the digital area in our businesses.
I have always been interested in acquiring knowledge about what I felt passionate about. I always used to do online courses to know and learn more and more. I came to the United States in 2021 looking for an opportunity since, in my country (Argentina), it is challenging to grow professionally, and there are few possibilities. I started in the restaurant industry as a waiter, and I learned a lot thanks to a great manager I had, Jonathan Etmekjian (Eclipse Di Luna, General Manager).
He taught me how to be a good seller, how a restaurant works, and how to provide the best service. After eight months, I met my current partners (Damian Otero & Miguel Hernandez). They opened the doors of their restaurants to me, allowing me to develop my skills in the digital area and bring all my knowledge to real life. This is how we started working on digital marketing and different technological strategies.
As a result, we tripled our sales over six months. What motivates me every day to do what I do is knowing that I don’t work anymore since I started doing something I’m passionate about. On the other hand, one thing that motivates me daily is to create opportunities in my country and give people the opportunity to grow with our agency who live in the country where I was born and raised. I know how difficult it is to find a job that helps you to grow up there, so I’m glad that I have the chance to help other people to grow with us.
What’s your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is showing different restaurant owners that what we do at Resto Experience significantly impacts the industry and grows restaurant sales.
What’s one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about owning a business is knowing how to lead and manage a group of people who are going to represent your business. I remember when I finished work and rested until I had to return. Now it is constantly having to be attentive to everything at any time of the day.
What are the top tips you’d give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
I believe that the most important things a person has to know are that self-confidence, enriching oneself with knowledge, and perseverance is essential factors to do big things. Often, one does not realize that there is always an opportunity. If it does not work once, it does not mean everything is over.
